{Local 96} **Cross Posted** Winter Storm Watch for 1/19
Hello Ladies!

I've been keeping an eye out on the weather for this weekend. Just like Thursday, Wake County is on the border of the Winter Storm Watch. Since this is North Carolina, I will be pleasantly surprised if we get anything other than rain. I still plan to go ahead with our meeting. If it starts to snow and you are not comfortable driving, don't. Please do what is best for you.

Stay warm and I hope the weather holds out so we can see each other tomorrow!

WE HAVE PUB SING!!! The following information is directly from the New CRF

CRF Invasion Hotel Info: Provided by John Broadfoot

This year, as usual, Hotel Otter is the Quality Inn at Huntersville, just 6.2
miles from faire. Use the term "Invasion Otters" when making your reservations.
Invasion is the second weekend of November, and these rates are good for
November 9th, 10th and 11th.
$54/night for a king or two double beds with coffee maker, hair dryer and
ironing board. For those of you with mobility difficulties, the hotel has
elevators and ground floor rooms with outside exposure. Be sure to ask for an
outside room if you want one. They're setting a few aside for us due to my
recent poll.
Deluxe continental breakfast is complimentary, the food is typical of Hotels
Otter we're familiar with. Free local phonecalls and free wireless internet.
Reservation telephone number is **(704) 892-6597. Use ONLY this number. Do NOT
use the website or the toll free number!. If you have any difficulty making your
reservations, ask for Scott Barnette who set up these rates for us. If you are
unable reach Scott Barnette or run into any issues, please email John Broadfoot at
BoomerangRogue at aol.com.

EDIT: **Phone number has been corrected!

A letter from The Lost Boys:
- We do have a bit of disappointing news. We are sad to announce
that negotiations with the Carolina Renaissance Festival have broken
down for this year, and we, alas, will not be able to return for this
coming fall season. We do have every hope for the 2008 festival, and
in the meantime we're looking to book an all ages show in the
Charlotte area sometime this fall. Have no fear; we will be back in
some shape or form very soon... :End Lost Boys message.

Please remember that this is a family friendly faire and that the management has only recently become tolerant of rennies and the Guilds.

(i'm trying to get some help, so i've cross posted...sorry if you are getting it multiple times)
there is a celtic/folk/folk-rocky)band from md called Tinsmith (used to play in some coffee shops near mom), that james and i like. so a couple of weeks ago he emailed them asking if they had any dates scheduled an updated calender. she she sent us one with some dates in philly and md and mentioned they were trying to get some in nc and asked where we lived. He replied back that we lived in charlotte and she asked if we knew of any "bars, listening clubs, concerts series etc" that they could contact.

now having just moved to charlotte, we don't know these things, but i figure someone must. any ideas please let us (or them directly) know.
I would absolutely *love* to see them. (plus this knowledge will tell me where i should be hanging out too :)

their website is www.tinsmith.net
